A year of Safety: Constantia Asaş Türkiye reaches 365 days LTI free

There are milestones that represent more than a number. At Constantia Asaş Türkiye, reaching 365 consecutive days without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) is one of them.

As one of Türkiye's largest flexible packaging manufacturers, serving more than 100 customers across 35 countries, Constantia Asaş operates in a dynamic production environment where safety remains a top priority every day. With approximately 381 employees and a production capacity of around 350 million square meters of rotogravure-printed and laminated films annually, maintaining a strong safety culture requires constant attention, commitment, and teamwork.

Built one safe day at a time

This achievement reflects the daily efforts of employees across the site and their continued focus on proactive risk management, employee involvement and continuous improvement.

A key element of this journey has been the site's HSE 360 approach, combining shop floor observation, employee involvement, risk assessments, data analysis, and follow-up actions. By encouraging colleagues to speak up, identify potential hazards, and take ownership of safety improvements, Constantia Asaş has created an environment where risks can be identified and addressed before incidents occur.

The milestone is particularly noteworthy given the broad range of technologies and processes used at the site, including rotogravure printing, solvent and solvent-free lamination, wax coating, triplex lamination, cold-seal applications, and in-house cylinder production and engraving. Across all operations, safety remains a shared responsibility.

An important achievement

The importance of being LTI-Free

Maintaining an LTI-free record is essential for us. We meticulously scrutinize every detail to prevent even minor incidents that could disrupt our streak. To support this, we adhere to the 10 Golden Rules of Safety, which reinforce the use of safety gear in all activities. These rules encompass practices such as wearing cut-resistant gloves when working with Doctor Blades, using a harness for tasks at heights over 2 meters, and reporting any observed unsafe situations. These examples are part of a comprehensive set of guidelines designed to ensure the safety of our colleagues from the moment they step onto the work premises.
