As a substitute for conventional plastic snap-on cups or lids with integrated straws, ComforLid makes a lasting contribution to reducing plastic waste. Our new innovative packaging solution ComforLid is a double layer die cut lid composed of one aluminum layer and a thin coextrusion plastic layer. It provides high hygiene and protection to your drinking products through it’s opening - compared to additional plastic top cup lids which can be easily removed or lost before consumption. By peeling off the aluminum layer, a hygienically clean thin plastic layer with an integrated drinking opening is exposed. This enables a pleasant drinking pleasure without spilling. The completely removed Aluminum lid should be thrown into the appropriate aluminum recycling bin. The aluminum is 100% recyclable, and infinitely often, with only 5% of the primary energy used. The plastic cup with the thin plastic layer should be disposed in the plastic bin ("yellow bag"). The thin plastic layer does not affect the recycling process because it is the same polymer group as the cup.
The coextrusion layer transforms the cup into an extremely convenient packaging solution suitable especially for active people on the move.
