Constantia Flexibles produces more sustainable packaging for mozzarella cheese
EcoLam – Constantia Flexibles is providing a recyclable Mono-PE laminate solution for Mozzarella in brine
We are proud to announce that Constantia Flexibles’ packaging solution EcoLam, one of our Ecolutions family member, can be used as a more sustainable packaging for Mozzarella in brine. With this solution EcoLam is substituting the current laminate – based on oPA (Polyamide) and PE (Polyethylene). EcoLam guarantees similar technical properties and machinability as the current oPA/PE structure, but is recyclable and therefore more sustainable.
EcoLam is a lightweight Mono-PE laminate, suitable for a great variety of packaging applications and fully recyclable due to its mono-material structure.
Constantia Flexibles’ overall approach is to develop film and foil-based packaging contributing to the circular economy while focusing on recyclable and compostable products. We have established collaborations with partners from across the value chain to make our mission reality.
We know about our responsibilities towards the industry, the end consumers and – first and foremost – towards the environment. Thus, we are focusing on developing more environmentally friendly packaging that is fully recyclable everywhere an appropriate PE recycling stream exists.
