Thirty years of excellence – Constantia Teich Poland celebrates its 30th anniversary!
It’s been three decades since Constantia Teich Poland first opened its doors, marking the beginning of a journey filled with innovation, dedication, and growth in the world of flexible packaging. The year 1995 marked a wave of transformative events around the globe. The World Trade Organization was founded, GPS technology became operational, and digital pioneers like Yahoo! and eBay emerged. In Poland, the first metro line opened in Warsaw, and a major currency reform simplified the złoty. Amidst these global and national milestones, a new chapter quietly began in the world of flexible packaging.

On June 12, 1995, a joint venture named Sharp-Hanmar was established by Polish and Indian partners. Their ambitious goal: to build a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to producing high-quality flexible packaging. One of the founding companies, Sharp Industries Ltd. from Bombay (then the third-largest converter in India), brought deep expertise and advanced technology to the venture. By the end of 1995, the company had already acquired modern converting equipment, and commercial production officially began in early 1997.

In 1998, Sharp-Hanmar joined the Constantia Flexibles Group, marking the beginning of a remarkable journey of growth and innovation.
Over the past three decades, the company has continually evolved – investing in cutting-edge machinery, expanding infrastructure, and, above all, developing a strong and committed team. With innovation at its core, the company built a sophisticated product portfolio and earned the trust of leading multinational brands.

Today, Constantia Teich Poland operates from a 19,600 m² facility in Rogowiec, generating annual sales of approximately €70 million and employing around 250 people. The plant specializes in high-performance laminates for dairy products, processed foods, and home & personal care (HPC), and serves a global customer base by delivering high-quality packaging solutions to both domestic and international markets.

As a Center of Excellence for film-based flexible packaging within the Constantia Flexibles Group, Constantia Teich Poland has grown into one of Poland’s leading converters. From its humble beginnings as a start-up to its position today as a key player in the European packaging industry, the past 30 years have been proof of resilience, innovation, and the power of collaboration.
Here’s to three decades of progress – and to an even more exciting future ahead!
