Inside Constantia Teich’s emergency preparedness drill
Last Saturday, Constantia Teich transformed into the center of a significant emergency drill involving 14 volunteer fire brigades and the Red Cross. The aim was clear: to test our readiness for potential crises, including fires and hazardous leaks.
The drill began with a simulated fire in one of our production areas. Alarms sounded, and within minutes, our emergency response team was coordinating with local fire brigades. The scenario escalated to include a hazardous chemical leak, pushing our teams to manage multiple challenges simultaneously. The drill provided invaluable insights into our preparedness and reinforced the importance of quick, coordinated action in real emergencies.
Safety is our top priority at Constantia Flexibles. Being prepared and familiar with the local environment is invaluable in an emergency. I am proud of our strong partnerships and the dedication shown by everyone involved.
At Constantia Teich as well as Constantia Flexibles, safety is integral to our operations. Our work involves complex processes that require a deep commitment to safety. From the first day, our employees undergo continuous training to ensure they have the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain a safe working environment. This drill underscored our commitment to safety and the importance of being prepared for any situation.
