Constantia Teich apprentices win 2 first places with innovative Ergostretch application
What can you build in just 8 hours… and still win twice? At Constantia Teich, definitely quite a lot.
We are proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement by our apprentices: Dominik Teubel (2nd year) and Fabio Zulechner (4th year), who took 1st place at the “Apprentice Hackathon Lower Austria”, and not just once, but twice!
With their project “Ergostretch – feel better, move faster”, they impressed both the jury and the community, receiving the highest number of votes. A big thank you to everyone who supported them because your clicks clearly made a difference!
From idea to winner in one day
The Apprentice Hackathon, organized by the Austrian Chamber of Commerce, is all about speed, creativity, and teamwork. Within just one day (around 8 hours), teams develop a fully functional app prototype.
Dominik and Fabio competed in the “Experts” category, where advanced programming skills meet real-world problem solving. And what did they choose as their topic? Something very close to all of us: health and wellbeing in the workplace.
Move more, feel better
Their app, Ergostretch, encourages users to integrate more movement into their daily routine by reminding and motivating them to stay active throughout the workday. The goal is simple: support wellbeing through small but regular moments of movement, true to the app's motto, “Feel better, move faster”. This idea fits well with existing wellbeing initiatives at Constantia Teich, including activities organized by the Wellbeing Team, the GoActive training program, and participation in the SPUSU Company Challenge.
A double success
The hackathon projects were evaluated by an expert jury, with particular attention given to how effectively they address real-life challenges from the workplace, everyday life, and society.
Among 35 participating apprentices from companies across Lower Austria, Dominik and Fabio's project stood out:
- 1st place, Jury Award
- 1st place, Community Voting
Dominik and Fabio have shown how creativity and technical knowledge can lead to innovative solutions. Congratulations on this fantastic achievement and thank you for representing Constantia Teich so successfully. We are proud of what you have accomplished and look forward to seeing what you will create next.
