Constantia Patz celebrating 50 years in Loipersbach
This June, a significant milestone was reached in Lower Austria, as Constantia Patz celebrated its 50th anniversary at the Loipersbach location. The plant has been a beacon of innovation, growth, and dedication in the flexible packaging industry.

As a major regional employer since 1974, the plant has upheld a strong tradition of social responsibility. With production under state-of-the-art cleanroom conditions according to ISO 14644, Constantia Patz is a top global supplier of blister foil and coldform laminates. Serving customers from local to global scales, the focus on quality and innovation drives success.
A festive tribute to history and future
To celebrate the milestone, Constantia Patz opened their doors to the public. The open day festivities were a joyful tribute to our history and an optimistic look towards our future. The event welcomed a diverse group of attendees, including family and friends, local mayors, politicians, and other dignitaries. This inclusive gathering highlighted the strong community bonds that have been integral to our success.
Around 1,000 guests received a tour through the plant by about 30 dedicated guides. These one-hour tours focused on our processes, products, machinery, and our commitment to sustainability and the environment.
Constantia Patz’s roots trace back to 1893, when it was founded in Vienna as a copper wire producer. Over the years, the product portfolio evolved to focus on aluminum foils, leading to significant growth. In 1974, under the visionary leadership of Kurt Heyer, the decision was made to relocate from Vienna to Loipersbach, providing the space and strategic advantages necessary for continued expansion.
