Constantia Flexibles completes acquisition of Afripack

Constantia Flexibles has successfully completed the acquisition of the South African flexibles packaging group Afripack after receiving approval from the relevant anti-trust authorities.

The African continent is one of the fastest-growing markets for flexible packaging. Demand is being driven by the megatrend urbanization, ongoing investments by multinationals, a wealthier middle-class and an expanding retail market.

Afripack currently has around 1,150 employees and operates four plants in South Africa and one each in Kenya and Mauritius.
