Constantia Flexibles’ clever solutions honored by WPO and EAFA
Over the last few months, Constantia Flexibles has been recognized for excellence in packaging by both the World Packaging Organisation (WPO) and the European Aluminium Foil Association (EAFA).
At WPO’s WorldStar Packaging Awards gala in Prague, our Cat Milk in Aluminum Portion Packs developed at Constantia Teich received the GOLD WorldStar Marketing Award and was also recognized in the Food category. Not only does one portion pack contain the right amount of cat milk, the barrier properties of the alufoil lid ensure the milk remains in perfect condition for a shelf life of over twelve months. Our colleagues at Constantia Asaş Ambalaj Baski in Turkey won two WorldStar Awards in the Packaging Materials & Components category. The first was for PocketLam – clever packaging with a surprise: a pocket inside the pack can be used as a bin, while the second was for Message Pack – a packaging solution that leaves part of the outer foil unlacquered as a “white board” for consumers to write short personal messages by hand.

The Alufoil Trophy awarded by the EAFA (European Aluminium Foil Association) went to Constantia Flexibles in two categories this year. In the Consumer Convenience category, EAFA honored Constantia Flexibles’s EasyOpenLidretort, an innovative alufoil-based food container system that allows for easier and more convenient opening. Our DecoTainer pet food packaging that offers modern styling and an ergonomic bowl shape for premium pet food received the Alufoil Trophy in the Marketing & Design category.
