Three Years without workplace injuries at Constantia Alucap
Constantia Alucap proudly celebrated an important safety milestone: three years without workplace injuries.
As highlighted by Plant Director Matteo Rigon:
“A safe company is a healthy company: when people work in a safe and orderly environment, their wellbeing and the company’s performance grow together.”
This great achievement reflects the strong commitment of the entire team to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. With around 90 employees and an annual production of approximately 2.2 billion lids, Constantia Alucap operates in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment. Located in Borgo Valsugana near Trento, Italy, this plant benefits from its proximity to Central European markets and one of Italy’s key regions for yoghurt and dairy production. The plant specializes in producing aluminum and plastic die‑cut lids and reels, supported by state‑of‑the‑art technologies such as reel cutting, embossing, rim embossing, and die cutting, ensuring the highest standards in quality and performance. Known for its strong focus on Quality, Flexibility, and Customer Service, Constantia Alucap has grown significantly in recent years, with employees who take great pride in their work and close customer relationships. Strict quality control and certification in ISO 9001 and BRC highlight the plant’s commitment to safety and regulatory excellence. With the ability to handle both small and large batch production across a wide range of materials and lid dimensions, Constantia Alucap stands out for its versatility and responsiveness, making it an important contributor to the dairy packaging market in Italy and beyond.
Reaching three accident‑free years is a powerful example of how safety culture, technical excellence, and teamwork go hand in hand. Congratulations to the entire Constantia Alucap team for this outstanding achievement and for making safety a daily priority.
The importance of being LTI-Free
Maintaining an LTI-free record is essential for us. We meticulously scrutinize every detail to prevent even minor incidents that could disrupt our streak. To support this, we adhere to the 10 Golden Rules of Safety, which reinforce the use of safety gear in all activities. These rules encompass practices such as wearing cut-resistant gloves when working with Doctor Blades, using a harness for tasks at heights over 2 meters, and reporting any observed unsafe situations. These examples are part of a comprehensive set of guidelines designed to ensure the safety of our colleagues from the moment they step onto the work premises.
