Sales and key account management often mean selling as much as possible as quickly as possible. There’s no question that large cash flows can be generated quickly in this way. But the key account managers at Constantia Flexibles follow a different path: They know that their own success – from a long-term / sustainability perspective – always depends on the success of the customer. Providing customers precisely the materials that optimally protect their products while also promoting sales is the first obligation of key account management at Constantia Flexibles. Naturally, this includes close contact with the customers plus extensive knowledge and experience, not to mention motivation. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce three of the key account managers at Constantia Flexibles.
Irmgard Oikarinen is a long-time member of the Constantia Flexibles team, having been at Constantia Hueck since 1993. Her current role as a key account manager is a very important one, and on the customer side she is primarily responsible for ensuring the success of Teva, Takeda and Actavis. Irmgard is also the Regional Sales Manager for Eastern Europe.
Asked what she loves about her work, Irmgard has not just one answer but many. These include the fact that she works together with all Constantia Flexibles sites around the world, giving her the opportunity to learn about very different cultures. Another “plus” is that she plays an important part in the growth of the customers she serves and also works together with the entire sales team of Constantia Flexibles.
Wolfgang Grabner is a key account manager and has worked for eleven years at Constantia Fromm GmbH. To be quite precise, however, he originally started with Fromm Pharmafolien. At his place of work in Remshalden-Geradstetten, not far from Stuttgart, Wolfgang’s role as a key account manager makes him the primary contact person for Merck KGa Group. However, Wolfgang also serves other customers of the Pharma Division of Constantia Flexibles. What he particularly likes about his work is the multi functional and cultural diversity of the project teams both with customers and within Constantia Flexibles. In Constantia Flexibles, Wolfgang sees his role as promoting and strengthening the cooperation between key account management and the group.
Ray Neville is a key account manager at Constantia Sittingbourne in Kent, England. Like his colleagues, Ray has been “on board” for quite some time at eight years. His “beat” is the market of Great Britain. Ray enjoys the challenge of working together with a customer that is focused clearly on growth. This is true in the case of RB (previously Reckitt Benckiser), one of the world’s leading companies in the area of health, hygiene and home. Today, thanks in part to Ray, RB is among the key accounts of Constantia Flexibles Pharma Division. For Ray, the best part is working with others on a project that eventually becomes a success for both the customer and for Constantia Flexibles.
